Day One
Departing from Glasgow we make our way towards Stirling then over Rannoch Moor and into famous Glen Coe. You will be awestruck by the beauty of this place. From Fort William the dramatic scenery of the Great Glen unfolds ahead of us, first Loch Lochy, then Loch Oich and finally Loch Ness. We will travel through the pretty village of Fort Augustus then enjoy a drive along the banks of Loch Ness. There is a stop at Urquhart Castle where, if you wish, you can visit the castle and take a short cruise on the loch - keep a careful watch, just in case! Shortly we will arrive in Inverness, our home for the next two nights. The stay in Inverness is unescorted.

Day Two
We leave Inverness and head northwards to the Cromarty Firth where, depending on tide conditions, we may see our first seals. We will make a stop in the town of Golspie. High above the town is an astonishing statue, 27 m high. This is the first duke of Sutherland, whose agents were involved in the most notorious of the Clearances in the Highlands during the 19th century. We will hear more as we head northwards. Caithness grew rich with the development of the herring fishing in the 19th century and as a result there are many exceptionally beautiful harbours - as we will discover. There are telescopes available onboard our minicoach to let you marvel at the wide range of birds and wildlife includingpuffins (until late July), and red deer - the Monarch of the Glen - which are seen on most tours. There are several stops along the way to give you ample opportunity to relax and take a stroll amidst this beautiful scenery.

Day Three
This morning there is an excursion to the Black Isle and the picturesque village of Cromarty followed by free time in Inverness for shopping or sightseeing. As we depart Inverness we make our way through the gentle Spey Valley then on through stunning scenery as we drive over the Drumochter Pass. Keep a close watch for the deer that often come down to the roadside to graze. We will enjoy views of Blair Castle before making a stop for afternoon tea in the heart of the Perthshire countryside. From Perth make our way homewards to journey’s end in Glasgow.
